Our Mission Statement

We are a service committee of young people in AA. We host events to show that you can have fun in sobriety. We spread the message of hope, recovery, and unity to alcoholics. We learn and grow in our recovery through our involvement in service.

Recovery, unity, and service constitute the three legacies of our program. Service is a very important and sometimes underestimated part of the program. Once you get involved in service, you begin to understand it's importance. Your sobriety can grow and be enriched by giving back to the program, especially when you venture beyond the group level. Staying sober during the holiday season can sometimes be tough. When people, places, and things surround you, sometimes your program is tested. Staying connected to a sponsor and network, making meetings, and getting involved in service are solid approaches to maintaining sobriety. There are plenty of special holiday events, like alkathons (24 hour events with round-the-clock meetings), which are available to anyone who needs them. More importantly, these events need volunteers! You can look for flyers and event contacts and then reach out to them to get involved in service. It's true that we have to "give it to keep it."
